書初めは、1年の抱負や好きな言葉を書き、今年一年良い年になるよう事始めをする日です。 Kakizome” is the traditional first calligraphy of the year, where people write their New Year’s resolutions or favorite words to mark the beginning of a hopeful and prosperous year.

About the event
ひとり$20、練習用紙と色紙を含みます。
練習後、色紙に練習した文字を作品として書き上げてください。
補習校での書き初め課題練習も受け付けてます。
申し込みの際に、書きたい文字をお知らせいただければ、手書きのお手本を用意いたします。
The fee is $20 per person, which includes practice paper and shikishi (art board).
After the practice session, please write your chosen characters on the shikishi as your completed piece.
